Default Dealer Experience - what a nightmare!

Im using my phone so please bare with me. okay, im getting a 4-Wheel alignment done in part because i installed trd springs. i've read here that the alignment should return the camber to factory specs. what exactly does this mean? i mean, what happens if the print out shows the rear camber barely within specs but i can still see with my eyes that the rear tires still have negative camber? Should i fight with them to keep adjusting the rear camber, or is this as good as it gets?

ok well since you are only getting the trd drop....they should be able to get it back to factory spec. The trd drop isn't that significant to throw your camber off that crazy. If you get 1.8 drop or more then it will throw the camber off. But since you are at the dealer...they will give you a printout of all your four wheels and how many degrees it's off. If they don't get it back to factory spec then I would complain because trd is a mild drop.

what he said. lowering springs would make it have negative camber.

K, still waiting at dealer. what happened is that i got charged for oil change, tire rotation, n wheel alignment. I noticed that first two werent performed and so i questioned the alignment as well. came back and waiting for work to be performed again after getting shop foreman involved. my question originated because the printout said rear was set to specs, but i could clearly still see the negative camber. so i wasnt sure if they faked printout, or if tires would still look that way after.

Well, they said the rear camber is already maxed out so they cant fix that. Also, they dont think i have trd springs installed, because my springs are white and they said trd's are usually red. i dont know what to believe. i bought them from mcgeorge online and they came in a plain box but the sticker on the box said trd and part #. Is there any truth to this? I dont have access to their site but i thought they also came in white?

Dumb service people, run away! They don't appear to be adequately familiar with tCs, so if it were me, I'd take it elsewhere.

^^Exactly!! Drive away as fast as you can and don't look into the rear view mirror! You're in LA LA Land, so there's more than one Scion dealership there. Take it elsewhere.

P.S. My TRD Springs are white also!

TRD Springs are WHITE. I have them on my car now. slap the person that told you that and tell him he's a freakin Idiot, and you could do his job better than him. Ask him what color space is. If he says blue, then punch him.

They are either flat out lying or are have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Get out of there ASAP. Make sure they didn't fill up your tires with jelly beans.

This is another STERLING example of the high caliber of quality at Toyota Dealers. . . Toyota needs to buy out all the dealers and start doing some quality control ASAP.

try another dealer, some dealers are just full of it and dont want to deal with people, so much for customer service, but there are no camber adjustments on our cars on the front, and for the rear i thought we didnt have adjustments for that either

THIS WAS LONGO????

Wow. . . I usually only have good experiences there. . . and they are one of the few Toyota dealers on the planet that havn't yet done something wrong or failed to provide customer service.

You figure that a Dealer is going to overcharge you. . . you can pretty much make that assumption. But the least they can do is ensure taht you get quality service.

Absolutely correct. And it's important for the service techs to not forget that Toyota ever made an xB/xA when they discontinue them and call them something else either. They should know TRD's come in white too.
