Do I really need struts to?
I have been considering lowering my tc and I was just wondering if i should go all out and buy the trd springs shocks and sway bar or should i just get a set of tein springs? opinions would be greatly appreciated.
I've had the Hotchkis front tower brace and TRD rear sway on my car for months now. They make a big difference.
I'll be getting the TRD shocks soon. I wish I could lower my car, but I just had the bumper painted, and I'd be terrified of curbs, hills, steep driveways...

Rule of thumb, if you get any springs with a lower drop than the TRD spring, it would be in your best interest to replace the struts too. Having too low a spring with your stock struts could drastically shorten their lifespan.
depends on how long u plan on riding on blown shocks...
i plan on drivin on my blown shocks for another... 50k miles or 1 year. if they hold out.
once they are dead for sure for sure haha im gettin coilovers. or when i have the $$
which ever comes 1st

Any lowering springs will shorten the lifespan of your stock struts/stocks. Some more than others. Depends on a few things. like the drop and spring rate, etc.
You don't need new struts/stocks when putting on lowering springs but the stocker's life will be shortened. So, it is recommend to also get struts/stocks but not necessary. If you really want to go all out, and like was said have the money, go with coilovers. They combine springs with correct struts/stocks and with adjustability in one package.

Are the stock struts covered under warranty? my thinking behind this would be that, if i install aftermarket springs, keep the stock springs in storage, and the stock struts on the car, and then if/when the struts go bad, throw the stock springs on, and drive it to the dealership to get them replaced... make sense? or am i just crazy...

yea i am trying to wait until i can get the trd shocks and springs together but its so damn tempting. 160 bucks and the cars lookin pimp...i kno if i wait that i will thank myself in the long run. it costs the same to get springs and shocks installed so might as well get it all done once.
