Default Front sway bar

Has anyone replaced their front sway bar on their Scion TC? I have an 05 and looking at replacing both front and back sway bars and would like to know if the front's are to hard to replace or is there a shortcut to putting the front ones on?

I haven't done my front yet - it's still sitting in the house. But it's a PITA. No shortcut to it as far as I know either. Just takes a bit of time and patience though.

to get the front in you're going to have to drop that big support piece under the engine and wiggle everything in and rebolt it on. It's a royal pain without a lift and something to hold it up when you go back to bolting it back on.

I wanted to get it installed too, but they were asking for $200-300, so i had to do it in my garage without a lift. I didnt know of any tricks, to shorten the time. I just followed the installation guide. Make sure you use the correct bushings

Hey Neothin and Asthmatic, how long did it take to put the front sway bar on? I have a shop right around the corner from me who will put it on but want to give him a heads up on the time, I'm sure he has a lift to use.

The rubbing issues have been mostly with coilovers - likely if you drop too low.

i think i posted this in another thread earlier today:

I've got a tC friend that lives down in the city south of me and i've had the chance to drive both of our cars hard. I have a hotchkis F/R bar setup (soft setting up front, medium in the back) and he has a TRD bar in the rear w/ stock front (dunno the setting on his). when pushed to the limits, my car likes to understeer and push out of the corner. His car likes to have the rear end come around (not to the point of spinning, but you can feel the car transfer some weight. im dropped on s-tech's, he's on hotchkis so the drops are somewhat similar. neither of us have strut bars.

So, what would be a good setting for the front and back sway bars?

jdupree Is your car manual or auto??
Also if you are wanting to go with power talk to me ;-)
I think most of the guys around the DFW area know that I know my stuff when it comes to power mods.. hehehehe

Ive got both F & R from hotchkis and the car handles like a dream. I had it installed from the dealer since day one so I dont really know what a stock tc feels like when it comes to turn but I know i can turn really sharp corners at High speed when accompanied by sticky tires.
