Ground control coilover sleeves?
Anyone have input on the Ground control coilover sleeves? I like how you can adjust the height of your ride like a coilover, without spending a thousand dollars... but does anyone know how good these are quality wise, ride wise? And say i lowered them 1.6 inches all around... do i need new struts?
I don't think many people have them (if any). If you do consider them, I don't think I'd use them with OEM shocks/struts... maybe TRD ones or something... but at that point, you might as well look into some nicer ones anyways.
I had sleeves on an old corolla for a whileway back in the day. With good struts they're not a bad option for the money conscious so long as you stick with a company that makes them specifically for the car you're buying them for. GC uses correctly matched rate Eibach springs.

I've used them before with stock shocks... with 340 front/ 440 rear and it wasn't really too bad... except the fronts would come popping up and make a banging noise when you go over a crevice on the freeway. With the GCs you can always choose custom lower spring rates to work well with the stock shocks.
I would not recommend this to anyone that wants to lower their car lower than 1.6" in the front. The only way you could lower it more would be to cut the stock housing spring perch.
