Default H&R wheel spacers installed

I wasn't happy with stock tires and rims tucked inside the wheel well so I installed H&R wheels spacers. The wheels are almost flush to edge of the wheel wells and hasn't rubbed yet. This is dropped with Tein S-techs so I think I'll bottom out first before the wheels rub to the wheel wells.

Which H&R spacers did you put on? Any zoomed out pics of the car?

I installed 20mm on front and rear, part# 4025541 and I paid close to $120-tax & shipping already included.

I'll try to get more pictures this weekend after I get my alignment and after I wash the car.

Yes it does bring it outward, depending on the thickness of spacers you installed. In my case, I used 20mm so it pushed the wheels out 20mm. I probably could have used 25mm for the rear but the lip of the wheel well is L-shaped so it might rub.

BTW, I have some DIY with pictures when I did the front. It's posted at clubscion in the DIY section if anyone is interested.

Are they hubcentric?

And is that your Corolla VE 3spd in the back?

Here is the link to the DIY....

They are hubcentric. My question is how much of a drop do you get on S-techs. I am wondering if I could get 25mm on the back since I only have the TRD springs, which probably gives you the smallest drop out of all the kits out there.

i was comptemplating this and powdercoated wheels so that i dont have to get aftermarket wheels.

Default spacers

I would love to see some more pics from different angles also. The rear does look like it needs to be kicked out just a few more mm's to be flush with the fenders. Maybe a 25mm spacer would work for the rear? Either that or a 15mm front/20mm rear spacer so it looks more balanced.

Would it be safe to have a 20mm front /25mm rear spacers on? Or do they only come in sets of 4's? I have TRD springs I wonder if this would work.

Anyone?

when you buy new rims do they usually come with wheel spacers?
The car looks so much better with the wheels pushed out

If you bought new rims and wanted them to be flush with the fenders you'd just buy a different offset. No, wheels don't come with spacers. If you mean hubcentric rings, then yes, sometimes wheels do come with those. Hubcentric rings are not wheel spacers, however.

My question is how much of a drop do you get on S-techs. I am wondering if I could get 25mm on the back since I only have the TRD springs, which probably gives you the smallest drop out of all the kits out there.
You get about 2 1/2" front and about 2" rear on S-techs. The 25mm would definitely look better on the rear since the outermost edge of the tires will be flush with the edge of the fender. My only worry is that since the inside lip of the fender is L-shaped, it might rub if I hit a bump.

The rear does look like it needs to be kicked out just a few more mm's to be flush with the fenders. Maybe a 25mm spacer would work for the rear? Either that or a 15mm front/20mm rear spacer so it looks more balanced.
You are definitely correct. A 5 mm difference would have been perfect.

Would it be safe to have a 20mm front /25mm rear spacers on? Or do they only come in sets of 4's
I could not tell you if it's safe but I'm assuming it is since they are hubcentric. They do come in set of 2s so you can get a set of 25mm for the rear and a set of 20mm for the front.
Here are the prices from optauto and H&R part # 4025541(20mm) = $100 + tax +S/H
5025541(25mm) = $120 + tax + S/H

Top rear will probably kick out some after alignment.

have you noticed any torque steer with the spacers?

and if i heard correctly, you can only adjust TOE......no camber or caster adjustments on the tC.

Actually they would stick out more than your rims. You say they your rims have a +35offset. The stock rims have a +45 offset, and the guy got some 20mm spacers, which would bring them down to +25, so his stick out more than yours.

a +25 offset would be way too much.. i dont think offsets and spacers work like that... he would be rolling like a low rider lol. with the wheels sticking out real far... maybe someone else can chime in.... it would be hard to believe because of the pictures.. mine is prob not even a quarter inch farther out then his and i know that isnt 10 mm

a closer look maybe tells me they are the same?? could be for every 10mm in the spacer could be +5 offset?? so +45 offset with a 20mm spacer is actually +35 offset???

Did you install the longer studs that come in the kit or did you leave the factory studs.
