So my car started leaking oil after i had just gotten an oil change so i thought it might have been either i didnt tighten the screw or oil filter.
so when i checked they were both DRY..i realized there was oil near my fender liner all the way up to the top.
I checked my cv boots and they seemed fine can it be its the shock/strut that is messed up?

and IF it were the cv boot would it be possible to get the oil so far up?

 

it could be that there was just spilled oil on or aroundthose ares if you dont see any leaks put some cleanm cardboard under your car and follow the spot up into you engine bay

 

also check your brake lines/caliper maybe something is loose or torn?

 

Are you sure its OIL or not something else? Struts don't have motor oil in them, so it won't be the same consistence or color. CV boots use a grease. Is this fluid located inside the fender liner? Have you check your fluid levels?

 

what was on the ground was clear..but when i lifted the car it was like grease but it even had it on the bumpstop at the very top

 

Pictures would help out a lot. Clear liquid under the car wouldn't concern me, especially if its the consistency of water. You can visually check CV boots under the car.
