Help cant deceide..
Ok im on the quest for some lowering springs, orginally i wanted the h&r sports but ive heard that they are pretty stiff, then i was thinking TRD'S but im afraid of it sitting uneven like most people encounter with them. So now im thinking of just going for a bigger drop with either the Hotchkis or the tanabe df's. Now where i need help is choosing which spring would be better suited for my needs. Im used to the mini truck scene, i bought the tc as my first tuner and its my girls daily driver. Now shes good at driving lowered vehicles and is careful with her car but i dont want to have springs on there where she has to worry about every single bump..etc. Also she has told me she doesnt want it to ride to stiff, i know the trd's will ride good, but what about the hotchkis and the tanabe? Thanks!
I have given tein some thoughts but the s-techs are just to low in the front for the roads around here and the h-techs while they do look good and give adequate drop i have just read to many posts that they have to much body roll..id like to do away with some of the roll when i install springs.
seriously, the problem with settling uneven is pretty much a possibility with all lowering springs.
i lowered mine on trd springs and struts ,and it settled perfect.
and if it doesn't there are lots of ways to correct it. and if it is a daily driver, don't get s techs, your going to scrape everywhere. if i had the chance to do it all over again, i would of chosen h-techs though, they seems pretty awesome.

I hear you all on the h-techs but dont they give body roll since they are softer because they were designed for luxury vehicles? They list 1.9" in front but i cant see how that is sicne all the pics i have looked at its an even two fingers all around and hotchkis pics are 1 finger if that and they drop 1.7". Also has the issue with the h-techs been resolved? I remember reading some time ago that there was a problem at the factory when they were cut causing them to sit wrong.
Yeah I have that as an option in my 1st post and a friend of mine has them on his 05, even though they are 1.7" front 1.97" rear i just think they have settled way lower then that and would be to low for me.
oops didn't read that part. sorry. for me, its a finger and a tiny bit between the fender and my tires all around. just a little image, since hotchkis tend to be a little less consistent in drops.
I put s-techs on my car and love them. Its a daily driver and there are only 2 places that I frequently drive that I have to be careful or I scrape. They are both crazy slopes that level out too harsh though. As long as I take it slow and angle the car its fine. s-techs ftw
mmm i could feel a lot more road than stock, of course, but its not too rough. i use it as my daily driver, and i'm totally fine with it. i've never gotten complaints from my friends about my ride. handling has improved, and looks a lot sexier~ hehe.
like Higgy^^, i take all slopes i can slow and angled, and i haven't scraped since the first day i got my springs on.
