Default Help with a Spring choice!!!

Hey guys, my first post here...I need help with a huge choice what springs to buy, I know TRD are about 1" but the ride is great, and other brands have about 2" but the ride sucks I had a Celica GT with Progress springs 2" in front and 1.8" back but after 2 weeks the ride sucked...what to do please help me out I'm looking for low but comfortable almost stock comfort, a side from the TRD..like the tein, etc

Thanks!

Try Tein, many ppl are having success and comfortable drop with it! I'd go for TRD! Genuine Toyota!

get the tein h techs. 1.9 front and 1.5 rear. drops perfectly and retains good ride comfort. you feel a little more as do all springs, but this is a good compromise between height and comfort. the drop is very noticeable unlike the trd, yet the ride is still good.

I just had Goldlines put on mine. 2" drop on all 4 corners. Looks good and the ride is excellent. You can feel more of the road, but highway driving is smooth.

With the stock struts, a few thousand miles. It really depends on how many miles you've already put on them. If I were going to put new springs on, I would go ahead and swap out the struts too...

that way, they'll have the same amount of miles on them and will wear out proportionately. Plus, you'll still have some miles left on your stocks in case ____ happens.

i dunno what companies make coil overs for the tc but i would get a good set of those and just adjust the springs to your liking.

just to clarify things with you guys, about the tein springs

the s techs drop it 2.4f and 2.0r (green)

the h techs drop it 1.9f and 1.5r (brown/bronze)

the h techs retain a better ride quality than the s techs because is has a lower spring rate and the drop isnt as severe..., but the s techs are more popular since h techs just recently came out. s techs will blow your stock shocks sooner than the h techs would. but h techs would also blow it out sooner than stock springs just as any other aftermarket spring would.

i went with h techs because i need that little finger or two gap. the drop is very noticeable and you can barely notice a gap. its perfect for me since i ride with passengers often. s techs would put you to one finger or none in the front. looks good, handles good, but you feel alot of road. plus with passengers in there...

and about goldlines.. i havent heard anything bad about them, but, for my preference, an import car should use import products so i went with teins since they're specialized in suspension for imports.
