Helppp- my tiress keep rubbing with 18's
alright so i have an 07 tc and i have h-techs on it, i switched to 18 in rims about 2 months ago and it rubs alot in the back when i hit bumps, is this normal? i mean it doesnt happen alot when im just with my gf unless its a big bump but when i have people in the back seat then it just rubs all the time and alot on turns. My friend said it might be because my springs are wearing down because when im rolling to a stop at slow speeds like 15 mph i hear a creaking noise coming from my back tires( the noise is the same as the noise that u hear when ur walking on wooden floors at an old house). any ideass? if anything then im gonna trade my 18's for 17's, i also feel sometimes that my cars lower than normal tc's with h-techs.

That's why it's rubbing. the 18X8 + 35 sits the 225 40 tire almost flush. The rubbing wont hurt anything, but if you want to prevent it you can:
Run camber
Get some 215/40 or 205/40 tires
Run camber
Get some 215/40 or 205/40 tires

Oh probably soo. Check the rear section, and where the spring coils touch each other from compression, try wrapping it in electrical tape. Usually the noise is from the spring rubbing and hitting together on bumps as it decompresses and compresses. The noise is normal though

but it didnt happen before, its like its getting worse, when i start braking slowely from 5mph down to 0 it sounds bad like walking on a wooden old floor and the floor creaks lol

it's likely the rubbing. Think about it, when you brake the back of the car is sort of going up from momentum causing less pressure on the spring making it uncompress, then recompress quickly . Try taping the dead coils and if that doesnt work your shocks might be shot.
