This is a question for the people who went past the 10K mark with stock tires - documented treadlife is 160 for the potenzas, so I hoped they would start dying off soon after 10K. Let us know how your tires are holding up.

I can't wait for mine to start showing wear so I can put something that won't slip on every take off...

 

it all about how you drive your car. Basically if you race or not, take hard turns. If you baby your car then potenzas might be still good after 10k.

 

i beat my tires to hell. im at 22k miles and they have about 2-3k left o nthem. they slip out as more you ware it down so becareful.

 

16k on mine, I got the dealer car and there is probably still 5k left in them easily.
They suck hardcore though..

 

almost 12k on mine.. I beat it a lot.. they're still pretty good.. i rotated my tires at around 8k though... But yeah, they do suck when the road is even a little wet..

 

My dad's 2.5TS wagon has potenza RE92s, hes at 72k miles still on stock tires from factory, just some rotations, and they are pretty dead but still good!

 

my question is who makes a better all around z rated tire. You know wet/dry/moist and affordable. There is no way in hell I'm spending more than 80 dollars a tire

14k and they have been rotated once and still look good and thats with lots of hard cornering and fast driving

Might be irrelevant but after reading this thread I had a dream about burning out for a long time and I could see strings in my tires and they were potenzas. But I have yokohamas weird

 

11k on mine and i cant wait till the day i rid myself of this rubber menace called "potenza" but thats daily drive. for the touge/track i use falken azenis on 17" falken torque 5's

 

I have about 10k and they are still fine for now but they chirp when I accelrate at an average speed.

I had almost 10K on my stock tires when I put my new rims on. When I stacked up the stock tires, I thought at first that they had two different tread patterns. Turns out my front tires have half the tread that the back ones do. Although, I do AutoX my car once a month and after I ordered new tires for my other rims, I started doing burn outs just for fun on the stock tires. I'm going to tear them up completely and then buy racing tires for my stock wheels to use for AutoX.

 

I have spread 19k miles of rubber all over Los Angeles and Las Vegas and anyway in between.

They are still seemingly good to go another 10K.
but who knows...
