Default Hotchkis rear sway only?!

I know that it is not recommended, hence the reason it comes in a set, but how many people are running the rear sway?

If I used it on the middle setting rather than the stiffest setting, would I be alright?

I use the car as a daily driver, but also autoX as well. I plan to do coilovers later this summer, likely KSports or TEIN Basics.

Any input?

Even on the softest setting, I wouldnt do it. For autox, it may not be too bad (until you upset the cars balance in a slalom.. then you will be backward). But cars oversteer easier on "normal" corners. So on the street you run more risk of spinning the car. If you just want a rear sway, run the TRD. It is about the best balance with the stock front.

Why wouldnt you just install the front and rear hotchkis sways?

Rear sway install is about $45 ... front and rear sway install is $400. In other words more than the product costs itself. Thats why.

I have called three different places now and that is standard. The average bench time for both is roughly 3.5 - 4 hours of labor. Which in Long Island is roughly $400. From what I here that is somewhat normal. Thats the reason why I was trying to find someone on here that would do it for a few bucks and a case of beer.

Yeah, find someone that can do it for you. You have to lower the subframe a bit in the front to get that one changed, which is why it takes longer.

rear you can do yourself
the front one is the one that requires some professional help

doing the rear only doesnt sound bad, you should test it out on a few corners first though

hopefully you dont oversteer too much
