Hotchkis Rear Sway Only?
I would like to be able to say for certain but I have not personally tested them all but from my perspective(and many years of having fun), if going with a rear only it seems the Progress is a good way to go.
If you want all out best handling, the Hotchkiss setup is dang fine and I have them so I know they are great.
Note: Autocrossing is not the same as high speed mountain driving, for that deffinately the Hotchiss, for autocrossing the Progress may be better due to loss of grip out of tight corners that may happen with a stiffer front bar.
BUT, for autocrossing with the proper setup and LSD, having both bars is incredible, I know that as well because my car is faster than I am right now
The way you use your car is a very important aspect to consider when deciding what are the best handling mods for your needs.
My car is not like yours, it is not like any other tC for that matter with the mods I have so what I have found to be best for it will not be best for your car. I wish I could make blanket statements that would cover all your questions but just not possible.
I would have to know every single mod you plan to use, if you run all season tires, what wheels size and offset, engine mods, LSD or not, audio mods, how you drive(which I would need to observe in person), etc, etc, etc, to make the best recommendation and then it would depend on changing conditions, track and weather, etc, etc,.............
Before you buy and install any part work on an overall game plan that fits your wants, needs, budget, time, real world driving, daily use, race expectations, compromises you can and cannot live with, how long you think you may keep the car, if you can recover from the loss if you crash along the way, etc. Then pick what will do that best suits your wants and needs.
In my case I just want the best real performance I can acheive and willing to compromise at least 95% of the cars use as a daily driver which it is not used for. But I also want an interior, A/C, cruise, power windows, locks, etc, not easy to accomplish but possible with enough dedication and funds.

Thanks Rick and everyone for your input and considerations. I've thought about it a lot including the many of the things you've mentioned. I'm just curious to see if anybody has opinions that would completely change my mind about either setup. It seems like everyone is fairly happy with their respective bars. I have a feeling I will try out the Progress bar first and then move to the Hotchkis if it doesn't work out.
Correction to my above information
----------
TRD rear sway bar comes with a TRD bushing but I do not know what it is made out of. Maybe somebody who has one can fill us in.
