Did you change them to mention that the slotted brackets go in the back and the brackets with the hole go in the front?

If you get under your car and take out those 4 really tight bolts again, it should disconnecte the wheels from the steering whell. Then, just push the wheels straight and then make sure you steering wheel is straight. Then put the 4 bolts back in and you should be good to go.

See everyone says this. There were way more then 4 TIGHT bolts! Which ones do you mean? Cradle or steering rack?

Step 7. The 4 that connect the steering rack to the cradle.

^^^ Thanks for clearing that up for me!! Do I just need to loosen them to get it to move? I would think that it would be hard to just loosen and move the whole rack. SHould I keep the wheels on you think or take them off to do this?

Thanks again for the help!

What do you mean? You mean how hard do we torque the bolts holding the end links of the sway bars? I didn't use a torque wrench for them, so I just did it as hard as I could.

I thought we answered this already? Put your car up on jack stands and leave the wheels on. Undo those 4 bolts that hold the steering rack tight. Then, make sure you'r tires are straight, and center your steering wheel. Then make sure your tires are still straight and tighten those 4 bolts back on. Just give it a try while your waiting for conformation from Hotchkis.

In the mean time, since no one with the sways seems to be reading my other thread have any of you started getting the roof creek since installing the sways? I didnt' get it before, but now I do turning over bumps, like pulling out of my driveway.

I get it! Sounds like a bolt has come loose. I was going to check it out tomorrow. I also have a sub I just install which could be part of the problem.

I KNEW IT! But you didnt' have it before? I guess it could be a bolt got loose, and the added body ridgity may have something to do with it. I've been driving quite differently since I've installed my bars

My moonroof made the same popping noises going in and out of my drive way before my sway bars were installed.

Loosening up the steering cradle bolts and aligning the steering wheel straight does not correct it. When my steering wheel is straight the car still want to go to the right.

Oh, if your car is pulling to one side when you take your hands off the wheel, you have an allignmnet issue, wich may not be caused by anyting you did with the sway bar. The problem I was trying to help with was if you car is driving perfectly straight, but your steering wheel is not centered.

Cell: I got my stickers a few days ago. cut off the "www.hotchkis.net" part and put them on my quarter windows. REPRESENT!
