There is already a thread about this... but...

Mine does just fine, and I am running stock Potenzas with 25,000 miles on them.

I have my winter setup on my car and it did great over the Thanksgiving weekend in PA with snow. I'm running Nitto high performance winter tires and the car felt great in the snow, even under boost

Snow performance depends highly on your tires. Stock tires suck in wet conditions. How do you think they'll perform in snow/ice? Dangerously horrible? You guessed it. I got Avon Tech M550 High-Performance All-Season tires on my tC. I don't expect to have a problem.

^^ As I mentioned above, I have stock Potenzas with 25,000 miles on them.. and they aren't great, but the only way you could say dangerously horrible is if you have no clue how to drive on snow or ice. There are much worse tires out there than these for sure.

We're already getting the snow up here in Washington state. Looking close to 6" by tonight where I live. I put on some Yokohama IG10s on Monday, but I'm pretty much snowed in and couldn't tell you how they handle with the white stuff around. I live on a hill, so I don't really want to risk it yet.

It's one thing to drive in the snow, but it's another thing to drive in the snow on hills.

i have the stock potenza's and they handle "OK" at best.

i now live in the suburbs near philly and last winter 04, i was approaching a red light at about 15-20 MPH and tried to stop from a distance...buuuuuuuuuut, my car kept sliding forward. luckily traffic on both sides at the intersection saw me coming and didn't attempt to go.

i felt like i was in a commercial where the guy is just sliding by and people in other cars just stare as he passes.

I live in the snow belt area near cleveland and we get hammered up here I really thought the stock tires on the tc would be better than they have been. I can't even get traction in third sometimes!!!

I mean it's not like our cars are exactly light either you know???

Just take it easy and leave plenty of room between cars and you will be fine. There are worse out there.

Looks like its gonna snow here soon. That MKG in Michigan had a foot just after turkey day. Glad I wasnt there this year.
I got the Potenzas and made it just fine through winter last year and some snow so far this year. They arent that bad really. Id call them average.
