they can usually both be installed, depending on the layout of the strut bar, like the dc sports one versus the hotchkis and trd ones.

but usually the engine damper goes under the strut bar.

I Just bought the greddy strut bar. Are you sure the bar goes over the ETD? Wouldnt that throw the way the bar sits off center being that it bolts up to both sides? To where the ETD only bolts to one?

yes, because the ETD attaches to the strut tower via bracket that would fit under the strut tower brace.

ok and the strut brace being "off center" like that...is that goign to affect performance? Would it be better to remove the ETD and put the strut bar UNDER it so the bar itself is balanced and then throw the ETD over the bar?

i realy can't imagine the ETD fitting over a strut tower brace.

btw, on our cars a strut towr brace does nothing. and even so, all it is supposed to do is add strutural rigidity under hard cornering to resist chasis flex.

wait what do u mean it does nothing on our car? Bolting it up to the chassis gives it a stiffer setup hence better cornering correct?

because our strut towers are so close to the fire wall, they really don't provide any addtional rigidity.

it isn't a disadvantage, it just means that the strut tower brace is unnecessary. so if you don't need one, who cares, means less weight, which is good.

besides what I mean by disadvantage is I dont htink its because we dont need one... its just because the mount is too damn close to the firewall. I am sure if somehow it could be mounted further away it would help just like any other.
