installation trd springs
Ok when i got my '08 tc about a month ago i was gonna get the trd springs $199 right? well with install and alighnment it came out to almost $900
is what i did and i ended up not getting them. So my advice is buy them online and either do it yourself or go to a garage and have them do it for you for a lot less $$$$$
here's a list of tools you will need to DIY
Tools Required for this Installation
- Hydraulic jack, jack stands, torque wrench
- Coil spring compressor (most major auto parts chains can rent these out)
- The following sockets or wrenches: 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 19mm, 21mm, 22mm
- The following Allen wrenches: 6mm

do it yourself if possible. If you can follow instructions, you will be able to do this (with the right tools).
If you don't have the tools, or really don't want to do it yourself, you should expect a shop to charge you anywhere from $250 to $300.
Dealership.....it can even be double that.

DIY - $0, but labor, thats if you have the tools, or maybe you can borrow them from someone, or buy them, use them, than return
Shop - $150 at least one that I know around my area
Dealer - $Rape
If anything, check your local craigslist listing, I know my friend found someone on there or a forum who put in his coilovers for $40, all he had to supply was the spring compressors

Some wheel shops will do it for $125-$200. Look in your phone book under "Auto Enhancements". Just call shops in your area. You might also want to post this in your 'regional forums' area. Maybe a fellow SL'er can help you for dirt cheap.
