Default installing my htechs

i read the instructions and it says i'm suppose to cut the bushing or bump or something. do i really need to do this? if so, what is the benefit. i ask this because i know some people who install TRD's don't cut them

yes. it is so the shock wont bottom out on the bump stop with the shorter springs under mild bumps in the road. shorter progressive spring shorter bump stop. you will notice in the same instructions the s techs you will have to cut more, even shorter spring shorter bump stop. keeps the ride nice and smooth.

I have TRD's and I had to cut mine because the shocks rods were much shorter. Here's some pictures so you can see what I'm talking about.
