Default Installing Tien S-Tech Springs

hello all.....
Forgive me if there is a post previously, I used both search buttons and found nothing.

well i am in the process of getting Tien S-Techs....so i am going to install them with a friend that I work with. But I have a few questions about all this... anyone did it themselves? how long did it take? from what I understand if I have the small hand spring compressors (i beleive i need 2), then its gonna take me forever without a machine? also, i hear I am going to have to align them myself? (since apparently shops dont align lowered cars)...

well i know my questions arent put together very well, and all scattered....but try to work with me lol

ummmm... 1. took me quite a while for my hotchkis installation, since some of the bolts were impossible to take off.
2. yes, you can get the spring compressors from autozone as rentals
3. shops DO do alignments on lowered cars. took mine to firestone. wait about 2-3 weeks after the installation to do the alignment, tho. or else you'll just be wasting your money.

I just put mine in with my friend. Had Hotchkis springs before they were harder than the S-techs. But it took us 6hrs. with a break and beer and eating. I say we could have done it in 3hrs w/o the break. Yeah like the post before the bolts were really hard to take off. The fronts are easy but the backs were a beeyotchh. Good Luck.

i did it with my friend in about 3 and a half hours. the first spring took us like an hour and the last one took 10 minutes.

The backs were the easy ones for me. make sure you get a torque wrench so you can re-torque the bolts to the right spec.

hotchkis ones are carbon fiber? didnt know that. but neway, you shouldn't need it. alignment shop should be able to bring it back to spec with only the stock camber links.
