Holy cow, is my "lane change" comment the only thing some of you can pick at?

Holy ____ I've never had so many disputes about something that I actually experienced, forget my lane-change comment, I shouldn't have typed that out, I should have known that a statement like that was going to fuel all the anti-front-strut-bar folk.

Hot dang, I would have expected this crap from the infiniti forums, but not here. Bahahaha,.

Well, the only three things that you identified were lane changes, tight turns, and freeway speeds.

- Lane changes were debunked as the placebo effect.

- Tight turns are entirely accurate.

- I'm not entirely sure what chassis flex you're experiencing at high speeds, so I'm not sure where your claim that it affects high speed driving comes from. Chalk that up to the placebo effect.

The thing is, you didn't actually experience it. I'm not trying to be an _______ about it, but it's all in your head. You make a post like this saying that something you just bought is doing things that everyone knows it doesn't, people are going to call you on it.

I bought the Tanabe bar because it went best with my black/red theme for my car. I'm not disappointed, it's definitely a great dress-up for our engine bay.

I used to have the DME front and rear strut bars installed, and it felt great to carve through higher speed turns, but I took out the front bar because it was pressing against the VSV. Since I was running with rear-only, I definitely noticed something "missing", like I didn't get as much good feedback when taking a sharp turn, like an onramp or a corner. By "good feedback", I mean the feeling of "no, the car isn't going to understeer out of the corner".

I have the TRD front strut bar sitting to the side, waiting to be installed. Placebo effect or no placebo effect.

Exactly, and that's the main benefit in strut tower bars: understeer correction by chassis flex reduction. It doesn't do it very well in our cars because of the way the engine bay, the frame, etc is constructed, but it IS there if you're looking for it.

You're not going to experience understeer by changing lanes or cruising on the highway (which is where this whole silly thread has devolved to), and thus, you aren't going to feel any effect from the bar.

So you would rather I be an a$$hole and try to correct other people's spelling mistakes? Would that be better? how about you stfu and look at the big picture here, it was quite obvious my reply was in defense . If you come at me because of my car and expect not to defend myself, you got another thing coming.

arguing on the internet is dumb, can't believe i went this far anyways.

anywho, good day to everyone and thanks for looking in my thread.

a brace isn't something that you feel changing lanes, it really only has an effect on really hard tight turns to help resist chasis flex from the weight transfer around the car.

you really showed your own ignorance by stating you felt a difference in lane changes. that isn't where the strut tower brace is going to make a difference, in the tight turns, you might notice it, but you have to be taking them pretty hard.
i agree wit drax alot i already had 2 strut braces dc and the hotchkis one and theres really no difference at all

So the one who tries to form personal attacks based on spelling mistakes is an _______, but the one who returns fire based on how expensive their cars are isn't?

This is fun.

Well, what's the problem in that? tcCAlI's response to my car: ahhahah I know TC's that would whoop that G35's A$$

, well, that might very well be the case, I didn't come in here to talk about my infiniti, I came here for the scion, so for an _______ to come into my thread and start thrashing my infiniti, well, there's no valid reason for that other than trying to be an _______. Get it?
