just had a few questions for people with these shocks-
1. have u been in a car with the trd or tokico shocks, and how does the ride compare?
2. how easy is it to adjust them?
3. i heard the instructions that koni sends with them suck-where can i find a good set of the instructions?
4. do i have to take the tires and anything else off to get to them?
5. what was the best price you found for them?
thanx guys

I have not ridden on any other shocks, and I only have them on the front. The instructions aren't TOO bad, but as long as you know how to change your springs, you can do them. It's the same. Only thing is you need to know how much to cut off the top of your stock strut housgin, I think it's like 45mm. I'll try to find the thread.
The fronts are supper easy to adjust, you just pop your hood, remove teh rubber stopper ontop of your shocks and twist with the little bottle cap thing.
The rears have to be removed completely from teh car to adjust, which is a total pain and why I have not gotten them...yet!

Here's jame's writup. That's who I PMed to find out how much to cut. Everything else I knew.

They are right around $600 for the full set either from Dezod or Promotiontuning.

that really sux that you have to remove the rears to adjust them. what's the point then? i'm really trying to find out some more info about the tokico shocks, but no one seems to have these things on any of the scion forums. not only that, but i can't find any real info about them anywhere. calling tokico is a 100% waste of time. they never answer the phone, you wait on hold for so damned long. after you wait on hold for 30 seconds, it says "to continue waiting on hold, press 1" "to leave a voicemail, press 2" and "to reach the operator press 3". if you press 1, it just starts ringing again and repeats the menu after 4 rings. if you try and leave a voicemail, nothing happens and it just sends you back to the main menu. if you try and reach the operator, it gives you the main menu and the whole process starts again. emailing them is useless as well. you would think that they would contact you back when you're trying to reach them and find info to buy their stuff. after all this, i really don't think that i would rely on them for warranty or anything else. i guess i'm gonna go with the trd's since i can't really adjust all of the koni's anways. i just hate that there is only a 12mo or 12k warranty on them if a dealer doesn't install it for an obscene amount of money. such bs. i friggin hate toyota's tech people-they charge so much and have no clue what the hell is going on. 8-12hrs for a spring/shock install @ $99 an hour.
no one will warantee shocks anyway cause they can just say that you were driving to agressively...at least you can get the koni's revalved.
I'm still gonna get the rears eventually, but I'll just find a setting i like and leave em. It's not like I go and change the sttings on my fronts all the time either (if ever!)
But you should be good with the TRDs. just get em.
