Default Koni Yellows or Coilovers?

Ok, so, as the summer draws near I'm getting ready to plan my next mods... one thing I want to do was reinforce my S-Techs with new shocks... but then I got to thinking, I like the way the S-Techs look but are they the best for the track? Either way, would new shocks be better than coilovers?

So I thumbed through a lot of the topics and couldn't find one that fit my particular situation, so, here's what I want to know: Which of the three options would be best for (a) Autocross (b) longevity and (c) general looks (opinions are always ok )... brand recommendation is always appreciated

1. Coilovers

2. Keep S-Techs, put in Koni Yellows

3. Get new springs (raise ride height to better track specs), put in Koni Yellows

Assume money isn't an issue... but remember I'm shooting for performance (race) first, show second.

Thanks guys!

I figured as much.

I looked at the Tein coilovers with the electronic control but I don't know if I need all that... and I've heard the Megan ones aren't good either...

So going on brand names I know, of the following, which does everyone think would fit my needs best?

Progress
H&R
Tanabe

All are also about the same price... right around $1000.

yea I've heard megan isnt good.. you dont have to get the EDCF, I would choose H&R from your list but it doesnt have damper adjustment which you might need.. you might also look at HKS hypermax too

So I've decided to get new springs and go with Tokico struts... after long thought I really don't need the adjustability of coilovers, so...

With that in mind, knowing I AutoX and want to raise the ride a bit (the S-Tech being just a bit too low for me... like the look, but all the bumps in Tuscaloosa are killing me ) what would be recommended for that 1.5" or so drop with good stiffness? Progress? Tanabe?

Thanks again guys!

I should elaborate... the reason I'm not going with adjustability in the struts (Konis) is because I just don't want to adjust them on and then off the track I'm a bit of a lazy enthusiast.

Just FYI.

Have you looked at Ksports? They seem like a good brand. I have their lowering springs and their coil overs look impressive. I don't know, just a thought.
