I I found a sale for these at 800 new. But I can't seem to find any one with anything good to say about these. Am I better off with some htechs n hotckis sway set.

Well everyone that is selling used ones has a blown shocks n everyone says they r "generic" not so great quality but this offer sounds great for 800 so I'm looking for some opinions

 

put it this way i had no problem selling them and running trd springs on stock struts. I would save up for a bit nicer coilover. like teins, progress, kw, jic something a long those lines.

Ksport is ok now. Older gens had a ton of problems, but the newer ones seem to be ok. If you have questions, pm geoff at nurspec. He knows a ton about ksport and gave me a ton of info on them when I was shopping for coilovers. Now if you have the cash I'd personally save up for something a bit nicer, but ksports are good for the price especially 800 new...

 

Teins r only height adjustable they don't seem worth while

 

Do NOT get KSport coilovers. Save for a better coilover.

 

And pls don't get htechs. I had them on my car for about 3 months before the tanabes and its night and day difference even with an entry level coilovers like the sustec pro II...

 

Yeah... I agree. You don't want to end up having something that is detrimental to your ride on the track.

 

i have had no problems with KSports on my tC... I've been to the track plenty of times without any issues

 

What makes coilover shocks blow? People driving on them dumped!?

 

i have had the k-sports on my car for almost two years now. i have fronts about 3/4 of the way down and the rears are maxxed out, here are the problems ive had:

1. from about two months after install 'till now they have had this weird popping noise when turning the wheel. although annoying, it doesnt seem to be causing any issues.

2. the rears dont go low enough, i decided to stick with a 17" wheel and size 205/40/17 tires i still have about an inch of gap in the rear

other than those two points, ive been completely satisfied with my purchase. they handle great, keep in mind tho, i have never tracked this car, so that is just based on some aggresive driving around town.

 

i am going to have to say don't get them on friday my on of the coilovers completely broke out of my buds car botoming it out and completely messing it up. remember its chinese pot metal cast i wouldn't trust it.

 

See this is what I'm talking about!! I dropped the ksport idea I ordered hotckis sways n trd Springs for 450 shipped so if anything with the money I saved I can save for something else but thank u guys for your input.
