Question Long road trips + negative camber + low = ??!?!?!

Does anyone on here take long road trips on lowered/slammed cars? Every now and then I commute to Texas and North Carolina. I had TRD shocks and Tein H-techs before but now I'm on BC coilovers which are set much lower. Just curious on what to watch out for and if anyone has had experience. Debating if I should install the 18x9.5 +34 wheels with 225/40/18's before I make another trip. I was rocking stockies before.

I'm not slammed, but I'm lowered to pretty much no wheel gap. I have some negative camber, can't remember how much, but I do have camber bolts to help me get closer to 0. I never had issues in my many trips between Texas and Indiana. Also when I made these trips, my car is stuffed making it lower.

If your toe is zeroed out, you shouldn't have any issues.

Alright. I don't have any camber kits for the rears but I have mine adjusted as close as possible in the front to zero. How do you think tire wear is going to be? It is about 1,500 mile long trip.

No rear for me either. If everything else is ok, you shouldn't notice anything. Honestly it's just like daily driving, you are just going further in one go. My tires looked virtually the same before and after. I'm not rubbing either. My trips are almost 1000 miles and I've done this trip 11+ times. (Home to school trips)

What tires are you running? My Kumho's look like they are already going bald and I've only had them for about 10K miles. The Kumho Ecsta AST are what I'm running.

By the way, I-20 changes from state to state. I know for sure Louisiana and Mississippi is terrible on I-20. They have cement blobs covering potholes that are raised on 65mph+ sections and not to mention that each section of the road is raised one after the other. Being on stiff settings and lowered I bottomed out numerous times because each section of the road on the highway was raised making it seem like you're driving over big speed bumps for miles at a time. Pretty much knock over a bunch of dominos and drive on them long ways and you'll feel every section from beginning to end.

Your gonna notice when your back is screaming at you after you get out at a stop LOL

I have Tein S Techs and ive gone from NY to Idaho... roughly 2,500 miles one way... negative camber all the way around and other than having to stop in ID for new sneakers (they were worn to begin with...), the car felt and rode fine.

Actually helped when we hit a bad storm... keeping a low profile kept the wind from pushing me around too much!!

Yeah I took the trip last month. Bottomed out in Louisiana and Missippippi multiple times on I-20 because they did a sh*t job building and fixing it in those states. We take care of our roads in Texas. If anything try to avoid I-20 going through Shreveport. I had to drive between 24 - 35mph because of the uneven pavement. Like I said, it was like driving on dominios knocked over after they have been stood up. Constant bumps miles down. Each section of the highway is divided by blocks and once you drive over one the next one is lowered causing a very uncomfortable ride. Even on stock suspension. This Corvette driving next to me was driving slow like me too due to the way the roads were built. Not to mention you got your unintentional speed bumps in Jackson, MS that are actually cement blobs used to fill in pot holes.

I even bent my exhaust causing it to aim upward and melting my bumper a little bit.

I'm going to have "fun" seeing what my bumper is going to look like by the time I get to Florida coming from upstate New York. I have to drive through West Virginia which is almost all back road mountain driving D:

I'm taking US-15 to I-81 to Rt. 64 to I-29. Between 81 and 29 I will be driving through some of WVs mountains to kill off 30-45 minutes. I got my coils installed today (still uploading on DSL) and the rears are running -1.7/-1.5 L/R

I'm on raceland coilovers, and im tucking pretty decent, and with a lot of negative camber you will really wear out the inside of your tire, i've blown two tires in the past few months because of this haha but i just installed a front and rear camber kit to help with the tread wear. before going on any long road trips just check and make sure you have tread left and you should be fine.

My tc has -7 rear and -5.5 front and is daily driven. I can get well over 1500 miles per side of my cheap tires. I pay $230 a set for tires, and can get up too 5000 easily. Thats without a problem, so for long distance drives you should be just fine having a few degrees.
