I just got some S techs over the weekend and I'm digging them they may be a little lower than you're looking for as the front drop is about 2.4 inches and the rear is 2.0, but I like them a lot, they almost completely eliminated the fender well gap between the tires and that's the look I was going for. Handling is definitely improved, but H. Techs and TRDs are pretty sweet too ( I've driven tCs with all three sets). If you got the money I'd suggest some Tein Basic dampers, those things are awesome and you can adjust the ride height to your liking

If you're going lower than 2" you should definitely get some shocks. With the TRD it's not necessary but def helps with handling.

TRD or H Techs...regarding shocks, the TRD and h tech are not sever enough of a drop that would necessitate an immediate or even a near immediate replacement, but with something like the s-techs i'd imagine you'd need to replace the shocks within 6 months of installation at the outside.

the reason i don't want to go with s-techs is because there is alot of construction going on around me (i live in NJ the state of never ending construction) has anyone had any problems with scraping or bottoming out with the H-techs?

I was thinking about going with the TRD's myself, anyone do the install themselves, I will probably do it myself. Any problems people ran into?

I'M LOOKING FOR A GOOD DEAL ON THE TEIN H-TECHS MYSELF. EVERYBODY HAS THE TRD SPRINGS AND THE DROP IS A BIT MILD, ALTHOUGH I'M NOT LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TOO DRASTIC EITHER. TANABE HAS SOME ALONG THIS LINE AS WELL THE NATURAL FEEL SERIES BUT I HEAR THEY AREN'T AVAILABLE TILL THE SUMMER. WHAT'S THE BEST H-TECH PRICES YOU GUYS HAVE FOUND ?

THANKS,
~TONY~

** XerO, I'm borrowing yr pic to do a comparsion here! Thanks!**

Compare with this!

By looking at your pics, it looks like you got h.tech or trd...in your pic, it doesnt seem to be dropped a lot. But in other ppl's pics, s.tech drops a lot! Weird

I've been thinking about s.tech, h.tech or trd. But I dont like my tc to be dropped too much. I like the way YOURS looks like, but XerO's and many of others that used s.tech, i just feel like thats too much of a drop for me. so confused now!

My TRDs' look lower than the 1.5 that they suggest. I have both the springs and the struts/shocks. I love them and would not change a thing.

The other day I hit a huge bump in the road and the shocks took the bump very well. I was pleasently surprised. (I also have the bump stops trimmed 1" front and rear.)
