Thank you for actually adding to my topic.

Yeah, I've been poking around and may just end up with tein. I was just curious about megan though. I have their axel back and have been real pleased with it, figured I'd ask about their springs.

They backs are way to high.
My friend here has them.
I'll try to find a pic for you.
Another guy here has tien H.Techs and their not low enough for my tastes. I think the S.Techs look perfect, but I do love my Hotchkis!

Here ya go:

Now, I think this was shortly after install, but I just saw them last saturday, and they are still pretty high in the back.
You still want 'em?

don't know, but that could be an issue.
Good call. But even with them not cut, it shoulndt be that high. I mean, that's like stock hight, and it's not like on stock springs the car is sitting on the bump stops.

come to think of it, i dont remember the guy who installed my springs cutting the bump stops. but i have the s-techs, so i guess it wouldn't really matter anyway as they are pretty low as it is...

What if the guy put the front springs on the rear and visa-versa? What if the spring isn't on the spring seat correctly? What if the spring ends are supposed to be turned out/in and they are turned in the opposite direction? Did they tighten the bolts while the vehicle was on the jack/jack stands, or did they sit the tC on the ground, let it settle, then tighten the bolts? You can't get on here and bash a company's product because of one person's install-gone-wrong...there are too many variables.

Whoa dude, calm the f*ck down. first of all, there is no way you could ever fit the fronts on the back. Have you ever done a spring install? the seating issuew would cause maybe a quarter inch difference, nothing like what's shown.
Also, the shop that did it has done quite a few springs on tCs, so they know what they are doing.
Why don't YOU try searching for other threads on megan springs, and you will see that out of 8 or so on here, all but 2 have had some issues with them. The first time they came out, the fronts had about an inch gap and the rears were tucked like crazy. Megan even came on and said they had issues with those springs.
I'm just trying to help a brother out because I have seen them first hand, and they are junk. With all the other optoins out there, why take the risk on something that has been bad in the past?
There have also been issues with these that someone buys from one company and they come old style, sunk in the back. Another guy will buy from a differnet company and they sit good, while another end up like the pic I've shown. That track record alone is enought to make me go to another company.
Unless you have seen them yourself, you really have no busness bashing people who are just looking out for one another.

I know a guy that put the megans on and a week later ripped them off because of the same issue. He installed S-Techs.

I have S-Techs on my RS1 and didnt cut the bump stops. All the bump stop will do is prevent the shock from fully compressing. It will not effect the drop heighth in any way.
