Is this to much to install coilovers and both sway bars?
Thats an average tuner price I would say. $62.50/hr. Dealership is about $80/hr. How are the charges broken down? 1 hour rear sway bar, 2 hour front, 3 hour coilovers? You could easily save yourself some money by doing the rear one on your own.
If you go the right tools and some help, the coilovers aren't that hard to install. Costed me 5 bucks. I have yet to tackle the dreaded front sway.

I don't think coilovers or the hotchkis sways are under the warantee anyway, so it doen'st matter who installes them. That price looks good to me, considering it took me 4 hours to install the front sway and almost an hour for the rear. But yeah, you could do it yourself, especially the rear sway.
I got my springs installed at the dealership. It was $500 includking the price of the springs. which means they charged like $300 to install. Total ripoff. I should have gotten different springs and installed them myself.
I had rear springs installed by the dealer and they quoted for 3 hours and it was $215. Ridiculous, considering that I did the front in an hour and a half.
I was hoping they were just giving a ballpark time frame, but it really did take 3 hours. I was disappointed.
I've never ordered them, but shouldn't coilovers come ready to go? Just take out the old strut unit and pop in the coilovers? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong b/c I've never had a set. If that is the case though, shouldn't take more than 2 hours from any competent person to install those. Mechanic or not.

Yes, pretty much you can just pop them on, adjust the height/dampening and you're good to go. There's no spring compression involved... they're actually quite easier than springs and shocks to install.
try doing it yourself. the only way to learn is to try. i've never understood why people buy aftermarket parts, but then don't even attempt to try the install. most things are actually easier than u think...especially the sway bars.
