Default need help from people with hotchkis springs on 17's

i need a few people to measure the distance in inches from the ground to the top of the fender well.. but i need measurements from people with hotchkis on 17's only. i need to tell hotchkis what height other peoples cars are sitting at compared to mine when i call them back tomorrow. so this is from the ground to the top most part of the fender well.

as some might have read in another post i made that i have a huge gap in the front with the hotchkis springs and i need to resolve this and i just want some backup here when i tell them how mine is. i just want other peoples to compare. i'm getting 25 1/4 on the front right and 25 1/8 on the left front.

thanks guys i know you'll he lp me. you guys always do.

all it is is that the springs haven't settled evenly. i've heard of it happening a couple times.

it is mainly because your weight on the driverside of the car helps settle the springs faster. put some weight on the right side of the car over night or something and it will even out. i mean seriously, why are you fretting of 1/8 of an inch?

i'm not worried about that i'm worried that i have a 2 finger gap on one side and almost a good 3 finger gap on the other. with hotchkis there should be a one finger gap tops. i'm not worried about side to side i'm worried about the whole front being way higher than it should be..

when i got my trd shocks and springs installed, the front didn't look any different at all, if the back wasn't so low i woulda thought it was stock height. but that was early-mid march i got them put in. now i look at it and see the difference of how low and slitherly it looks, like a snake or soemthing. so yeah, it settled after a few weeks. that is normal for just about all springs.

they have been in for 3 months and i don't think they have settled a hair in the front. even hotchkis said drive around the block once and they have settled as far as they should.

i'm sorry but your really not helping any. i just need a few people to measure like i asked. thanks.

ok hotchkis is sending me new fronts. i measured 25 1/4 in the front right, 251/8 in the front left. in the rear i have 24 3/4 on the right side, and 24 1/2 on the left.

hotchkis says it should be

FR R 25
FR L 24 3/4
RR R 24 7/8
RR L 24 11/16

so they are sending me new fronts. they are very cooperative there. very impressed, he even said he was going to test the new springs before he sends them out. :-) the only thing that sucks is they are in cali and i'm in NY so it'll be a week.

well hotchkis called me back again a couple hours later and told me they sent a set of fronts out 2nd day air to me free of charge, and when i get them swapped out send them the old ones back. he said he measured and tested the ones he sent out and they were right at the spec. he also told me to call him right after i get them put in and let him know if these are to my liking. drew (the guy i happened to talk to) is a great guy, he was extremely helpful i didn't have to fight or argue for them to take car of it or anything. A+ to drew at hotchkis.

Hey Tcguy85, I haven't been in this section of the forums lately. I'll measure mine when I clean my car tonight. I'll let you know ASAP. I hope I can still help you out. :D

So I measured mine and I got:

Front Passenger: 24 1/8"
Front Driver: 24 3/8"

I also have 32 psi on both tires and, of course, I measured it on an even surface. And take note that nobody is inside the car.

LOL! I weigh about 145 lbs and I'm the only one driving my car. I don't always drive with someone, maybe at least once in two weeks for an hour ride tops. :D

And Tcguy85, just take some pics after the install. I'm sure you'll get it fixed. Good luck!

did yours settle a lot? mine is still where it was with the old springs. it's still about an inch higher than yours is. i didn't measure yet but it's still a 2 finger gap on the left, and almost 3 on the right. this is starting to really annoy me.
