uh all about the offset?
how about all about the tire size.
215/35 won't rub
and on top of that, falken's tend to have a "thinner"
sidewall, it'll stretch more by nature than lets say a prada spec2

my decades are 18x8 w 225/40-18 tires too. they dont rub when turning but when the road dips, the tires rub the fender liner.
i'm either going to switch to 215/35 or 205/40 and stretch em heh.

The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel. The offset can be one of three types.
Zero Offset
The hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel.
Positive
The hub mounting surface is toward the front or wheel side of the wheel. Positive offset wheels are generally found on front wheel drive cars and newer rear drive cars.
Negative
The hub mounting surface is toward the back or brake side of the wheels centerline. "Deep dish" wheels are typically a negative offset.
If the offset of the wheel is not correct for the car, the handling can be adversely affected. When the width of the wheel changes, the offset also changes numerically. If the offset were to stay the same while you added width, the additional width would be split evenly between the inside and outside. For most cars, this won't work correctly. i got both situations resolved, the rims i shined with mothers billet...$14.99
too much mula for a little jar! but it worked like a charm.
the 2nd problem about the rims rubbing it went away maybe i didnt do it right, because i went to put them with a pressure gun and it worked.
only doesit on a sharp turn or something but it was plastic so fudge it!
thanks bros!

yall think i will be rubbing with 225/40/18? Im getting the Optional 18" Enkei EMX Super 7's. I wont have them installed for about another week or so? So i wanna know what i should be expecting?!
I get some rubbing too on my 18 x 8 35mm offset when I am doing sharp turn. Once I slow down the rubbing is not there. I might goto my buddy's bodyshop and roll the fender a bit to avoid rubbing completely.
working on rolling the fenders on my tC, cost $80 to do it, but in the event that
rolling the fender causes the exterior fenders to bend, that will cost a whopping
5X more i.e. $400 because bodyshop will have to redo the fenders and paint it again
so do it at your own risks !!

Ok check it out you people that are rubbing...
Where arte you rubbing? thats the first thing you need to find out. Is it cuz your fender guard is loose and hanging down a bit.
Second I have 18x8.5 with a 35 offset I auto x it ive only rubbed one time.... And I was going way to fast into a corner and the front dipped when I hit a bump... it was such a small rub it didnt bother me.
Yesterday I just took the tein pillowball mounts and moved them 7 deg so im now cambered all the way. Lowered the car another 1/2 inch. Still no rubbing.
