I ordered Tein S-Tech Springs for my 08 tC today and then realized i prob shouldve went with the H-Tech.

Alot of peoplpe are saying that youll need a camber kit and prob new shocks.
My buddy has an SRT-4 with goldlines on it, no camber kit and stock shocks. his is still working perfectly. He just drives real slow (5mph) over speed bumps, railroads, etc.

i guess my questions are.
1.) Will i need anything else with the S-Techs if i drive carefully?
2.) Should i return the S-Techs and save a little more money and buy full coiulovers?

 

re-allignment, possible rear camber kit.
Coilovers are really for race purposes so that you have adjustability on the dampening for different track types.
Eventually, any lowered spring will cause you to need new shocks because it is putting added pressure on a shock not designed to handle as much. The S-techs though, should last a while before you would need new shocks...i haven't heard too many people with that problem here. There have been a few though...

 

its all dependent on the roads in his area...the rougher they are, the shorter they'll last...

i'd recommend changing out your struts at the same time so you don't have to do double the labor...

 

cool, thanks for the help guys. Sorry for the newb post, i saw the sticky right after i posted this. I guess ill just go ahead and throw them on and be careful about bump. Meanwhile ill just save up some cash for when the shocks do go out.
