Default possible to bottom out?

ok so i was reading online the other day of requirements for HIN and DUB and they require 5 mods( no problem) with 2 mandatory being suspension and aftermarket rims. my only problem is, the 08's already sit lower than the 05-07's and the way my exhaust mid pipe is, im afraid if i even drop it like .99 (w/ the megan lowering springs) i will bottom out my exhaust all of the time and tear up the underbody. any body have any suggestions of what i can do for suspension or anything i can do to avoid this?

Well, you won't have any problem if you drop it on megans, cause they are crap, and the rears actually sit higher then stock!!!
how is your midpipe hanging? does it not travel downt he center path?
I have the Injen axleback, and it hangs WAY low under the rear axle, but since it's right where the wheels are, I never scratch it.

dont forget that when you add your rims you will add height, assuming you go for a larger size then stock, so you have that height to play with also...

You mean, maybe the 08 you looked at had TRD springs on it, since it's the one you thought looked lower.

nope. because im driving the 08 and i know it doesnt have trd springs. who knows maybe i just didnt look close enough. but anyways, if having a pipe that hangs a bit like in the pic above, will i have to worry about it bottoming out if i drop it an inch or so?

Well, that elbow hang sunder the axle, so as long as you DON'T go over bumps at and angle with the back tires, you shoudl be OK, because it lifts up with the wheels.
But your saying your 08 sits way lower then the 07 it was next to, and you wanna lower it more?
do you have any pics of the side view of your car, so we can see the height of it?

i can take some. only reason i was going to do a small drop was for the fact that HIN doesnt let you enter unless you have some sort of suspension upgrade along with aftermarket wheels.

get the hotchkis springs and call it a day with the drop, you wont bottom out, i have had them for 40k miles and it still rides like the first day i installed them (seriously). almost 2 years on them too.
