Post Pics of Your Lowered tC Here

Scion lowering guru's, I have a few questions to ask. I feel dumb asking them, but searching isn't giving me a straight answer. Until now, I've been on TRD springs, But I plan on running Tein ss-p's in the next few weeks.
First, does anyone have pics of their car on maxed ss-p's? I've read that for going "low" teins aren't the way to go, but i got them cheap so they will do.
Second, I plan on staying with the stock rims for the forseable future. If I want to max the tein's what do I need to do? Roll fenders? Cut/Takeout liners?
Thanks for your help.

If they go as low as racelands (with out mods to them) then no worries on stock wheels specs. You'll have so much wheel sink you'll want spacers... Trust me I'm there now!
But maxed on racelands I only rub a bit of the splash guard, and a little bit of the forward mounted splash guard mud flaps on select road angles. Again, nothing to worry about. You're biggest complaint is that the Teins probably will not go low enough in time. You may be happy with a mild drop, (and great ride for a coilover), but will eventually be willing to sacrifice a little ride comfort for being lower.

There are also some that roll lower, static. Reason why I haven't been in any rush to switch to air. Looking for a cup kit that will work with the B&G, just need to get the diameter of the shocks.
#3653
That was on modded Racelands with 2 coils cut out of each spring and maxed out perches. Rode like ____ and I couldnt pull into anywhere.
I liked being low but I couldnt even go over speed bumps. I debated on B&G for the longest but I really didnt want to be static anymore.
I don't even have a photo uploaded of it on AirRide yet cause Its in the body shop and new wheels aren't fitted yet.
So with that being said Jasper, That was rim tucking with out bags... SURPRISE!

Static rim tuck what?!

I still reallly want air tho.

Cup kit or bust for me. Only clearance needed for the front for the s-pipe and oil pan. The rear can just re-route the exhaust(which I plan to do). Theres plenty of clearance under the rear bumper to manage, the front no so much.

But even with Air Ride my rear goes way lower then the front still.

Cup kit?? But yeah my exhaust is flat and has holes in it, and doesn't even have a axle back on it cause of how low the exhaust hangs down under the rear end. My oilpan is scraped and dented a little but its not bad... My frame on the other hand needs to be primed and rubber coated.

With air ride there's no exact spring rate, with a cup kit added to the coilover setup the spring rate is maintained and when needed you press the switch to raise the car to clear speed bumps or whatever.

Honestly if the front doesn't go low enough with my corvette wheels then I'm sure I'll just get new wheels that are 18's.

^Just an example. I could also just switch out the springs for bags and go lower too. I don't know if anyone has gone with a bag over coilover setup on a tC though, have seen it on xB 1st gen though.

I say cup kit is the new low... If i can do everything all over again I'd go cup kit. Plus it hasn't been done on a tC.
- When you air up, it increases spring rate that is comparable to an autocross setup
- When one of their "cups" blow they can still ride wherein if you're on bags, your assed out
- Way less components to a cup kit, no need for a manifold and a smaller tank (3gal) to raise up all 4's
- Lighter, quieter, and it feels like coils
my air ride setup is worth 3k but for the lack of maintenance and the benefits from the cup kit setup, I personally think cup kit is way worth the money
