Default PowerSlot Plus rear rotor help please.

For any of you who may be using the same rear setup (e.g. PowerSlot Plus rear rotors) I would like to ask for your help. I've noticed that a thin area on the thicker slotted surface of the rotor after the heat dam is not making any contact with the brake pads thus not getting any wear at all, is this normal for this brake setup? You can clearly see what I'm talking about from the picture below. I appreciate any feedback on this matter.

so you put bigger rotors on, and your concerned that the pad isn't touching the whole thing?

you put on bigger rotors, but your pad is the same size. so as long as the pad is touching 100% surface contact with the rotor, it shouldn't be a problem.

You have completely misunderstood me; I’m not at all concerned of my pads “touching the whole thing.” What I am concerned of is if it were not making contact up to the point where it is supposed to. If a rotor was designed to make contact with the brake pads up to a certain point, which this appears to be, I would expect it to be no less than thus. The contact area on these rotors have been raised and slotted, I’m worried that this may cause uneven wear of the rotors and pads down the road.

or it could mean that your rotors are warped thus causing uneven wear on the pads and rotors

I used to have the Powerslot Plus rear kit and I understand your problem. You'll just have to check the pads occasionally and break (grind/cut/dremel/etc) off the unused portion of the pads.

for those who dont know what the problem is you can read about it below. Toyota Matrix owners had the same problem.
