i wouldn't suggest using these for an aggresive drop as they have the lowest spring rate out of all the coilovers. if you are looking for handling you won't lower the car that much. if you want looks i suggest air bags

my car on progress tech coils with a 2 1/2 inch drop...

some pics of my car slammed....this is 4.5 inches dropped...

the install pics...

prior to my coils, i had tein s-techs...i love the coils so much better because they have better handling and a smoother ride. i adjust them to about 2 1/2 to 3 inches when i drive around and go to shows, etc and i never bump or rub even though i hit nothing but potholes on my way to work, i never have any problems. i also have the progress tech sway bar.

If you are looking at progress coilovers, this might interest you http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/pr...1scc_scion_tc/

with the right adjusting and set at a 1.38 inch drop and a set a sway bars you can handle close to that of an EVO MR.

Lower isnt always better
Just a thought.

absolutely. its a balance. for street though...the lower stance looks very agressive. The progress coilover set is exceptional all round.

Ride is superb...but that is also determined by how low you want to drive daily. 2.5-3" its excellent. 4" plus your obviously limiting travel but from what customers have told me....even that low the suspension is still obsorbing

just because the spring rate is LOW does not mean the handling is bad or softer...

i believe the progress coilovers are GREAT for street driving, mtn driving, and a little competition

its smooth

when i said the spring rate is low i meant for a 4" drop and very aggressive driving. i was trying to get the balance point across without going into a lot of detail. my bad

btw i just purchased the progress coilovers for my self. if you read the sport comact only article above you will also see that they dropped only 1.38" or something. but they also used hotchkis sways to control the bodyroll implying the soft spring rate needs a little help controling our 3000 #. car "balance"

That would be me . I do have the Progress coilovers on my car. I roll with over a 3 inch drop all year round and never had a problem. The car handles and rides like a dream even dropped the way I have it. I also have the Progress rear sway bar and Hotchkis rear endlinks. You can't go wrong with this setup.

Where'd you guys pick your Progress coilovers at? And at what cost? I'm trying to make a decision about what coilovers to go with for my baby.

:-p Well, of course. I was referring to a third-party reseller, someone trustworthy and sporting a good price.
