Thanks guys you've been very helpful!

One more question: What's the bar that I've seen people have in their trunk area... I will try and find a picture and post it. It sits flush with the back seats and the floor of the trunk.

Does the rear TRD bar take a lot to install?

It's probably the MMW rear strut bar. I think Megan makes one too.

If you're talking about the TRD sway, nope. It's a cake walk.

Here's a DIY write up for installing a rear sway bar, it's not the TRD bar but the procedure is the same:

TrueSlide did an excellent job.

Ok I just want to point out that on the ST sway bars there is no adjustable settings for the front sway bar. It's only adjustable on the rear. And its street or race. Now someone mentioned that you need to drop the subframe to install the front. That is true, very hard, I got to that part and turned around. As you can see from my thread that captainlaziness posted that's the install for the "bar in the trunk" you referred to and the sway bar. If you have questions about install on either bar sturt or sway, top or bottom, just pm me. Hopefully that DIY will help you with the rear. I'm going to try and get one in this saturday for the front. I think i'm going to buy springs too but I have to check my budget...

As mentioned, the rear sway is cake. I did it on jack stands in about 30 minutes, and that was only because I was teaching my 10 year old along the way, so he tightened.. then I tightened further

I have heard one person say they figured out how to jimmy things around and not drop the sub frame for the front. But as I have learned both through my dad at his shop and through my own experience, taking everything apart to get to what you need easilly is usually the fastest and less curse word-inducing method

yep... by looking at it and hearing what someone said they tried.. you could possibly wiggle it a million different ways and get it in place... after wiggling the stock one a million ways to get it out. But like I said.. it would be damned hard and not worth the effort

^Just be careful, make sure your taking out the right bolts. the last thing one want to do is unbolt the wrong ones. The main ones you need to take out are up inside the actual subframe. I don't have a picture but if you dont end up doing it by saturday I will have a DIY up for it. And yes... it's going to be very annoying. Especially with the instructions provided. It's going to take a couple hours, maybe not since you'll have a lift but... You're going to get annoying. Definately f-bombs and beer...

i just finished putting on the rear st sway bar and its not as stiff and better handling as the trd sway but once i put in the front st sway bar it should tighten up and handle alot better!
