hey whats going on i am kinda new to the forum i used to have a vw but i just got a 09 scion in dec and realy started geting into mods in around march i have a question this may be a noob question but i am considering geting rear sway bar will it help even if i am not lowerd i plan to lower my car eventualy but right now i am working on the interior part like clazio seats double din navi head unit ect i am considering geting a sway bar tho i have the stock 17s and how hard is it to instal thanks for the help any info will help

 

yes it will help even if your on stock springs.

Progress rear sawy. It comes with endlinks and 3 settings.

 

even for like someone w a little car experince but will i notice a big diff when i am lowered or about the same i probaly will do 17 rims but idk i might do 18s if i find some i like and then after i do rims i will lower the car but do u think its a mod worth the time thanks for the help

 

its worth the time and cost. your handling will increase like night and day differences. if you lower on springs youll notice it more. if you use coilovers, the difference is less noticable because generally, the springs on coilovers are very stiff already.

 

even on coilovers, the difference is very noticeable... the understeer is nearly non-existant with the rear sway installed...

 

ok so i think i have decided to get one of these i am looking to spend like 75-175 do u think this can be done what are some good brands

it is the best best bang for your buck. go ahead and get it. only a 20 minute install max. i am all stock and i noticed it immediately and it keeps my inside wheel from breaking traction. i used to always hear a chirp when i had to get on it to get into heavy traffic..

ok now for the trd how do i instal and do i have to cut anything i was talking to a friend of mine and he said that there is one brand that goes under the car is this tru

 

for TRD rear sway bar, it's just a matter of taking off the old one and bolting on the new one... very easy and no cutting... I actually did it without having to take the rear wheels off... but I've heard that others usually take the wheels off to make it easier.

 

get progresses you get the end links better bang for the buck and its cheaper or maybe max 20 bucks more then trd one no cutting or anything i have it and love it

both are adjustable... just jack up and support the rear of the car, unbolt the old one, and bolt in the new one with the provided hardware... easy as pie...

 

i would do springs first.... ive heard you should do this because the stock suspension is too soft and will put a lot of pressure on the sway bar.
