Default rear sway and strut bar?

would it be bad to do a TRD rear sway bar with a DC strut bar? What gives the best handling? Two sways?

A rear sway is the easiest thing to do to improve your handling. You can add a strut bar if you want, but it's not going to do much of anything for handling... at least, don't expect it to. Typically struts bars on the tC are more for looks.

If you're not going to be racing or autoxing at all, the Hotchkis is a bit overkill. Even the Koni Challenge tC only runs the Progress rear sway.

greddy rear and front struts make a difference, Ive felt it on my own car.
not sure about the trd strut bar.

trd rear sway makes a big difference. However the greddy front strut made enough of a difference in increased understeer that the following week I picked up the rear strut to balance it out.

you should have gone with a rear sway first. anyways go with the PROGRESS one it comes with new endlinks and its 3 way adjustable unlike the TRDs 2.

for the record the tanabe bar is substantially thinner lighter and flimsy than the greddy one.

Ive seen and held both in person when I was deciding which bar I wanted. I picked the greddy one because the tanabe one felt like it would do absolutely nothing.

Strut bar = Waste of Money,

Sway bar will satisfy you only for a week, then you will be fiending for more suspension parts!

unless you are puting your car on the track you will. but if you are just using it at a DD you will be just fine with the rear sway trust me it makes a hude difference!

I'm rockin the TRD rear sway right now. Excellent product. I fell in love with my car all over again. There is no loss in drive comfort either.

I was looking into front struts as well and I heard that if you're going to put a front strut bar on, you should lift the car to take all the tension off of the springs before you put it on. Is this true?

hotchkis ftw! and dont get the rear strut bar, waste of money, go for the hotchkis kit and a trd front strut bar (just remember to get both your front wheels off the ground when you install the strut bar or it wont feel as good as it should)

best combination with a rear sway bar is the ingalls 4 point brace. im running the progress rear sway bar and i love it.

i agree, you will benefit more with a rear strut bar than the front. im not saying you wont benefit ANYTHING with a front strut bar, but you just wont feel it.
