hey SL i recently invested in scion oem gfx kit and my car is still on stock height...it's already a giant and when i put my 18's back on in the spring i'll then be able to climb mount everest i want to drop it but the only thing i'm concerned about is destroying that beautiful kit!! what would SL recommend would be a good set of springs to go with i'm torn between h-techs vs. hotchkis vs. trd i want a good drop w/o sacrificing the kit what should i do? (pics would help as well thanks!)

I'm searching around too, u might wanna look at trd's cause they lower it but not too much. I have 18's too and im still debating, I think im just gonna buy coilovers though so i can adjust

 

houston has some pretty bad roads as well... all teh highways have been underconstruction since i have been alive!! its neverending! but i just drive alot more carefully now

 

Hotchkis springs

 

Stay away from S-techs if you're worrying about scraping.

Hotchkis has a very even drop, but you may still scrape.

And he TRD springs would the safest route.

does anyone have pics of a tc lowered on spring techs or tanabe nf210's with lip kit? i just looked em up and i'm liking the drop not too low good for my taste

 

i've got a lip kit and dropped on stech's. look in profile for pictures

 

nice but a little too low for me any issues with scraping anywhere or rubbing?

 

scrapping? nah. and i deal with bad speed bumps in my apartment complex everyday.

rubbing? yeah. but i run aggressive offsets on the wheels

 

hmm i have a set on 18 x 7.5 with 45 offset going on soon i'm not really worried about rubbing but i just don't know i would love to go trd b/c its so simple but im afraid once i go trd i'm gonna want a lower drop then i'm back to the start again b/c i gotta go searchin!!! uhh thanks anyway neothin

 

I say h-tech would be better for you. BuddhasTC has h-tech on his with lip kit and it looks hawt. Check his profile for pics. If you are too afraid to go that low then TRD.
