so in mid june this year i'm taking a trip up to the tail of the dragon for about a week and beating the crap out of the tC. So far i've complied a few suspension and handling upgrades, and have a few ideas left for what else i need to do before the trip, but does anyone else have suggestions on what to do?
so far-
Hotchkis sways
DC sports front strut bar
Tein S-Tech's (yes i know they're too low for handling, but i'm not swapping them)
Falken Azeni's ST115 rubber, 225/40/18 on decently lightweight 18's.
Short shifter/bushings/weighted ****
plus anything else that i forgot about in my profile.
before i go, i'd like to get the stoptech stage 2 brake kit (pads/SS lines/rotors/brake fluid), and a clutch/flywheel.

Get the TRD or H-Tech springs if you can find a really low price on them. The S-Techs aren't going to do anything for you, although i'm still trying to understand how having too low a center of gravity could be bad.
Physics are ___.
For the handling/drop there is an awesome article on here from about a year ago. Progress built a tC and had it outhandle an Evo MR. Progress sways, coilover kit set to 1.38" drop (if I rememeber correct) and it was corner balanced. Tires are the biggest thing.
Corner balancing with the coilovers will make a huge difference.

I don't think I even need to say this but PRACTICE would be good. That road is monstrous - even in photos.
Anyways, imo, suspension upgrades are only there for you to max out. So yea, the S techs ruin your roll couple but that just means you'll hit your car's handling limits earlier. Do the runs this time, come home, get coilovers, adjust, go back, see how much you can improve.

i mean, i sorta have an idea of what i'm comming up against. The last 2 summers i've gone there for 2 weeks apiece and rode it on my now sold gsx-r600. Yeah, i know bikes vs a tC is a big difference, but i do somewhat know the course.
I've got the ingalls stiffy already put in. Where's a cheap place to get the rear multi-point bar?
As for tires, i know for drag racing your going to want to have a thick sidewall with relatively low pressure to get as much rubber on the road as you can. When your doing road courses, what kind of pressure setup is best? high pressure to not allow sidewall flexing? what aspect ratio on a 245 width 17" tire? something like a 245/40/17?
