Default Removing Spring from broken Strut

Sup everyone just wondering what i should do here. I have a OEM strut that im trying to remove the spring from. Already removed the other 3 just the problem is this shock is blown and the strut itself keeps spinning. Any suggestions how to remove the top 19mm bolt? i suspect a impact gun is the answer?

thanks in advance

is the mounting top spinning with the 19mm nut? if it is, lay the strut down and have someone stand on the mounting top.

If it's a useless strut that you are throwing away, get some type of wrench to clamp down on the strut itself and hold it.

Vise grip on the strut and impact gun on the top 19mm bolt will get it right off, don't worry about breaking the strut since you won't be needing it.

It's not spinning because the strut is blown, that has nothing to do with it. That top bolt will always spin unless you hold the strut or have something like an impact gun to spin the nut faster then the shaft of the strut.
