Would the Matrix TRD shock coilover kit fit on a tC?

they might, but they might not work too well depending on the spring rates and dampening of the shocks, since they were made for different cars with different wheel bases and different weight and so on.

I highly doubt they'll fit.

nobody puts tc parts on matrix's, and nobody puts matrix parts on the tc.

they probably wouldn't fit because underneath, the matrix is just a corolla, and the corolla has considerably older suspension than the tc.

also, the matrix is lighter than the tc, so the springs might be too soft.

why would you buy used suspension parts anyway?

and i doubt it would work. however, celica suspension parts will work for the tC (like springs)

Used suspension parts don't go bad unless you beat on them. If you have a set of coils that you put on an offroading vehicle and used them for that purpose, then no, I wouldn't buy them. You've probably compressed them too much with the articulation while rock climbing. But for a car, they will settle in and unless you beat the hell out of them and hit 20 pot holes at 50 miles an hour, they are probably still good. Don't get me wrong, I would inspect the hell out of them before I bought them, but most likely they are going to be OK. (Please note: shocks can go bad, but that can be replaced easily.)

all this from the guy who just asked how to install springs.

how about you know what your talking about before opening your mouth? he is talking about an adjustable coil over system. meaning the strut will have wear on it (if it is used). i would never buy a USED adjustable coil over system because you have no idea what settings it was on for the previous owner, and how he ran the car. if you brake hard, that wears the struts, launch hard it wears the struts, corner fast, etc.

but his main question was would a matrix system work with a tc, and i doubt it

I misread the topic... I apologize.. I thought it was just the coils, not the coil overs. And the reason I asked how to install the coils was because I don't know where everything is on the Scion. I'm sure I could find every bolt that needs to be removed, but rather than spend 30 minutes looking for that last bolt that is holding everything on, it would be nice to have a how-to showing where everything is. I don't need to have someone teach me how to put coils on, I've done it many times, but if you read my response, never on a car. So thanks for the insult, it was really appreciated.
