Default shocks/struts

So I got my H Techs and decided to get new shocks/struts right away also so I can save my OEM parts. Are there only 3 aftrmarket shocks/struts for the TC? Are Koni, TRD, and Tokico my only options. Ive already collected some firsthand opinions on the TRDs. DOes anyone have any experience with the other 2? Are there other options besides coilovers that Im overlooking?

yes those are the 3 options for struts/shocks.
Don't have any experience with any of them yet, my TRD's just came today. I know the Koni's you have to cut up your stock struts to make them work. The tokico's I have heard good things about.

Cut up what on the Konis? Not sure about that...but Hopupracing has them for $625. If you add the $ for the springs you might as well get megan or KSport coilovers instead.

Yeah I got the H Techs for $175 and there are sponsered sales here for TRD shocks/struts for $465 shipped, and the Tokico for $399 shipped. Combined thats still much less that the cheapest coilover.

Koni's require you to cut you stock front struts to slide the new dampener in. Tokicos are good for the price and seem to have no complains from current owners. TRDs are well, TRD so no worries there for the most part.

I can vouch for Tokicos's I've been riding on them on Hotchkis springs for little over 2 months now absolutely amazing handling over all! The car is much more responsive than stock. Koni's are really expensive I would just go with coilovers rather than spring for Koni's just my opinion.

yeah you have to cut the konis to make them fit. i say go TRD pay a little extra money and have them installed at a dealership soo you dont have to worry about anything.
