sportline or H&R race???
Not exactly sure but ive seen it posted they are KYB. I suppose if oyou do plan to change the springs out it would make sense to do the shocks at the same time. I dont think you can go wrong with any of the reputable spring companies.
i suggest jus going straight to coilovers...
gettin different springs wunt upgrade taht much at all.
shocks is a good route to go but if you want that EXTRA STEP... then go with coilovers, im sure you WUNT be disappointed.

i was/have been looking at the progress and the H&R coilovers, both seem to have a good product, i have heard somethings about the tein's being to hard even when there not completely dropped.
tanabe looks intresting as well.

I'm going with Eibach sport line and Koni shocks. Should arrive today. I’m going to try to install on Sat. My ride difference will not help you, because I am also installing the shocks. As far as I know there are very few people with Eibach sport line. I would love to see some pics of the sport line stance. If I finish this weekend I will post pics. I will also include instructions and pics on how to install the Koni shocks. If anyone is ATL is bored and want to help me install
the TRD shocks are not adjustable damping while the knoi's are adjustable dampening.
and the tanabe, progress, and HR coilovers = relaly comfortable!!!
tein's are too but if you are a sensitive driver it might be too stiff.
and FYI
eibach sportlines are not made of the highest quality.
i know a lot of people with sportlines (all different cars) that had these springs sag on them. at wat mileage does it happen? cant realy tell but it happens.
so dont get eibach sportlines IMO. they will sag on you A LOT

I have Eibach on my 79 rx7. I have put over 200,000 miles on them and they are still tight. I do not beleive the only company to have a life time warranty would produce low quality shocks. Eibach has by far more years of R&D in their manufacturing process than the competition.

Dominate the track. Rule the street.
Eibach makes the finest performance springs in the world. Period. When other springs sag, wear out, or create sketchy handling or a bone-crushing ride, top street tuners—like top race teams, from F1 to WRC, from Le Mans to NASCAR—inevitably turn to Eibach. And, also inevitably, wonder why they didn’t choose Eibach in the first place.

Every Spring, Anti-Roll Bar and Damper Kit Extensively Developed and Road Tested for Maximum Performance
Street Kits Designed for the Best Performance, the Best Look—and the Best Ride.

yeah, eibachs.......... i have a set on my accord (sportlines) they do not sag and we measured them to check for sagging last year and found none, i would venture to say that eibach and H&R are two of the best spring companies out there, they use F1, transam and other circuit racing as there testing, and even signed a contract with nascar to run there springs.
Eibach has a lifetime warranty on there products and make a great product, correct me if im wrong h&r is made by eibach? also i believe eibach was the first lowereing spring to hit the market, again correct me if im wrong. I like my teins but they are not to be compared with eibach or h&r IMO. Eibach has been in business making springs for 50 years, i highly doubt that any manufacture today has that much history of r&d......so if your friend had his sag i can tell you it was a deffective product and should be exchanged for new ones. they are also the only company that makes springs that i have found that is ISO9001 certified which means it meets international standards of high quality.

do you guys run sportlines? or pro kit?
most of the occurances are on sportlines.
i even have a set on hand that are sagged.
my neighbor has a 97 eclipse GST. and the initial drop is 1.8 inches all the way around. but when we did a comparsion with anotehr eclipse wit hteh same setup... our car sat 3 inches lower. so the actual drop is 4.8 inches. yes it was literally bottoming out.
and my friends accord. had them on for 100k miles, it sagged +2 inches. and again these are sportlines.
im not sayin eibach is a bad company, im not saying its not worth the $$ either because.. eibach makes really good springs and i enjoy there comfort. but sometimes if yoru umlucky, i would to give you a fair warning thats all :D

I currently have the H&R race spring set up rightnow. Many people with various other brands of springs cant believe the car is dropped after riding in it. They say the ride is so nice and I am still running the stock shocks as well. The ride height is nice as well.
But this week the H&R Coilovers are going in the car courtesy of H&R Springs.
