How much imrpovement will it make around corners, having a front sway bar and tein S lowering springs.

I understand its not going to be the easiest question to answer, but please be as detailed as possible!

thanks!

It'll make your car absolutely PLOW through the corner.

You would want a rear sway bar.

Now there arent any companies that only make a front sway, so you may be thinking of a front strut, which ties the suspension towers together underneath the hood.

Do you mean a front strut bar? Generally you don't replace just a front sway bar - and actually, Hotchkis is the only company that makes one.

What you'd actually see more change from is a REAR sway bar. Springs an a rear sway would give you a nice stance AND a nice ride.

So it really helps that much huh? I can't wait to get them both installed :D

Ps: My dad got me the parts but I havn't seen them yet, I just re-checked the email and he said springs + sway bar.

If you were replying to me, plowing is bad... You would want more understeer to make the handling more neutral.

The front strut bar barely makes a difference in handling from what others have reported. The suspension towers are plenty rigid due to being very close to the firewall.

Oh, by plow you must mean push?

Thats not good, it pushes now...

So springs and rear sway bar wont help?

You're confusing me :-p

Front strut bar won't do anything

Rear sway bar is a good buy and you will have a noticeable difference in handling.

Rear sway bar and springs is what I got.

I just want it to stick more and push less

I have a front strut bar and the TRD rear sway bar and its a big difference imo. The front strut bar will help but not as much as the rear sway bar does. Go with the rear sway bar and springs!

I have the front Sway bar "DC" And rear sway bar "TRD with TRD springs. LET ME TELL YOU. "Can you say STICKY...?" This made such an improvment like night and day. Next will be "TRD" struts. Then an engine stiffy. This will help For less body roll and wheel hop. Instead of letting off on the gas around the corner, you'll catch your self huggin a 30mph corner doing 65mph.

I run hotchkis sways with tein h-techs. The springs and sways were an awsome upgrade, I have front and rear greddy strut braces, they did nothing for the car. Look great though!

Yep all that is said here is good stuff.. I have the TRD springs and struts and the rear sway bar (race setting) and it handles better. Later I installed the Hotchkis front strut bar/brace and I noticed a big, big difference too. ( I have the 18' s) I do not recommend a rear strut brace, it is too much for the street and not fun to drive.. But I do believe that a larger front sway bar would improve cornering because of the weight of the engine..

you think a rear strut brace is to much for the street..? It practically does nothing noticable on the tc and bairly noticable if at all track racing...

A larger front sway bar would kill the handling on the tC if paired with anything but the hotchkis.

TRD and Progress developed their sway bar for only the rear because they felt the front was fine enough not to change out and that the rear's stiffness (~150% stiffer than stock) is not sufficient enough to overpower the front one.

The reason Hotchkis developed a front and rear sway bar is because they beefed up their rear one so much ~300% stiffer than stock, that in order to keep handling neutral, they increased the front as well.

And as stated before, front strut bars barely do anything handling wise for the tC, it's pretty much just cosmetic.

So your saying the front hotchkis in my tc is pretty much cosmetic..? Even though I installed the rear first and drove it a week and then the front and WOW what a freakin difference? Or did you typo and mean strut tower brace..?

I'm talking about the strut bar. which sits in the engine bay and ties the suspension towers together.

I believe YOU are talking about the sway bar, which sits underneath the car and reduces body roll, but is not cosmetic due to no-one seeing it, except your mechanic.

^ Totally forgot about that one, but that bar is "relatively" new compared to the other ones.

Also don't know of one person that has that sway bar set.
