look into the tein h-techs. will provide an nice drop, but not extreme. they can also be used with stock struts. not to mention tein is a proven company.

on the s-techs they will pretty rapidly. u should be able to run the h-techs for a while before they wear out. obviously any aftermarket spring is going to put more strain on the struts. from what i've seen from my subaru community, people ran h-techs all the time w/out uprading their struts.

I'm new to the car modding world and was wondering about how many miles would you say the s-techs compared to the h-techs can go without the stock struts going out. Also, how much would an upgraded pair of struts run for after you blow your stock ones out? I'm looking at some goldlines, but was planning on keeping my stock struts for....ever? advice from the higher archy please

are you going by what people say on this board about problems as in defects??? for every 1 person that complains about a set of springs garenteed there 100 who dont have a problem with the same spring. Posts usually will be negative because people will more likely post complaints then say how much they love what they installed and that they have no problems. I know about 10 people who have the TRD springs they dont have any problems other then it doesnt lower enough which isnt a defect . I went with goldlines and i love them...i even think the ride is better with them i thought it would be much more stiffer and it didnt actually smoother ride.

If you're worried about the struts and you want to be flexible with the height of your ride, then i recommend Tein Coilovers

I wasn't asking anything about the springs having defects or not lowering evenly on one side, i wanted to know how long you can usually run stock shocks with an aftermarket spring. I am looking at goldlines because i have randode as a local installer and they offer the perfect drop. I would love to have coilovers, but as a 17 year old with a car payment, insurance, and cell phone bill (on top of everything else to pay for) I don't think I will have enough money anytime soon for coilovers...
