Default ssp Coilover install.. lil help needed

I just installed my SSP coilover today, I had a problem taking of the stock left rear spring, it just wont come off like its stuck.. The other side I was able to hammer it and it come off, wasnt that hard..

Anybody knows how to take off the easier way (than hammering).. Spring compressor needed? I dont have one though.. Any suggestion?

this might have been brought up in another post just cant find it....

Um... installing coilovers and you're taking the stock springs off? Are these the Tein SS-P? Or are you talking about just getting the rear strut assembly off of the car?

Ah, ok, that makes more sense.

They shouldn't be too hard to remove... I had mine out when my springs were done. I think you'll have to work with the lower control arm (if that's what it connects to on the bottom) and see if you can move that enough to free up the assembly...

What is the sequence of loosening bolts for rear strut assembly? how much would it matter? I loosened the bolt of the control arm and lower strut first, then the 3 on the top, then removed the lower, then the one on top of the assembly itself, anyone?

dont loose anything.

remove the top 3 bolts for the stock strut.
remove the bottom bolt for the stock strut.

get your good friend to STAND on your rotor, on the front of it. this applies pressure and allows you to manuever your factory coil out. very easy and make sure your buddy has a good stance. dont worry your not gonna break your suspension.

Yep, let a friend or two stand on the rotor so the three bolts
up top clear the holes. Sometimes having them bounce up
and down on it helps too if it's still stubborn.

Good luck.
