i did a spring and strut swap with a guy. his springs had about 30k miles on them and i was wondering if i still need to get an alignment because the springs were settled on his car first and then transfered to mine.
Well you don't get an alignment because the springs settle, you get it because they lower the car and it messes up the suspension geometry and can cause excessive wear. I would do it just to be safe.

yeah it felt like there was rattling at the front left and right strut areas especially at lower speed going over speed bumps and dips.
so my car is at the dealership for an oil change and alignment so hopefully that will clear things up
thanks for the help buddy

if theres rattling, check all the bolts. thats usually not an alignment issue. but rest assured after your alignment, your tires will not wear out super quick.

mine does the same thing from the back. I believe it's a rubber part not sitting right above the spring. I can see it, but it's such a PITA to get it out to fix it. I gotta get aligned soon, it's been over two weeks since i got lowered
