Default subframe...

hey so my next plan of attack for my tc is to install sways, motor mounts, and sub-frame bushings all at once since all three of those projects require the dropping of the subframe. I'm currently planning on setting aside the whole week of the 26th of Aug to leave a margin for set backs. But anyways as I plan my project I've come across one simple incongruity and I'd just like some clarification to make myself feel better :-). So in the Hotchkis swaybar installation guide, it says that you need to lower the "front engine cradle," everyone on SL refers to that as the "sub-frame," where I get confused is that Energy Suspensions refers to their bushings as being for the "rear sub-frame." So basically I'm just hoping that one of you can confirm that the terms "sub-frame," "front engine cradle," and "rear sub-frame" all refer to the same part because I would hate it if I had to drop both a front sub frame and a rear subframe.

Thanks for the good wishes yellow, and thanks for the pics pete :-).

Pete if you have a min I've got a couple extra questions... How hard was the install...now removing the sub-frame is a b*tch but aside from that how'd it go? How much did handling improve? and do you have any issues with vibrations or other discomforts?

Anyway so I'm still not crystal clear as to weather or not there is a sub-frame and a rear subframe, or just one. The pics should help, I'l just have to do a little comparing hah

well sh*t... after looking around online, it's lookin like there are two subframes. So it looks like I'll need to drop the front one to intall my front sway and motor mount and then remove the rear to install the bushings :-(

those pics are from ptuning.. any questions you might have u might want to check them out.... as far as subframes.. u have 1 in the front and 1 in the back.. the one pictures it the back one.. but the same falls for the front as far as install... front one is the hardest to do.. the rear is simple.

That's correct, the tC has BOTH front & rear subframes. I'll bet your handling will be much improved by the rear subframe bushing kit, as the stock bushings deflect enough for the suspension (actually the entire subframe) to move about half an inch in either direction.
