Default tC RS3 advice please

i have an BPW RS3 and i want to drop it but ive been getting heat from the toyota service center saying that the lip kit on it will be too low and dropping it will just damage the car. But either way i want to get my RS3 dropped and taking in consideration that there is a lip kit thats a bit lower that regular tCs what kind of springs should i get?

you should get trd springs. they come in white or red. drop is 1.25" all around.

Go with the Tein H-Techs.....1.5 drop in the rear and 1.9 drop in the front.....better drop than the TRD and not too low to where it would scrape. I got them and have not had a problem.

Yeah the dealers don't know jack **** about tCs, or at least half of them don't, so do what you want to it.

The S-Techs do look really good.....but it's a 2.0 inch drop in the back and a 2.5 inch drop in the front......it's really low......which equals a greater posibillity of scraping. By the way...the car looks good FuzzMaster.

You'll be fine with any suspension you choose.

Ive got Hotchkis springs on my RS3, and I am yet to even scrap the underside of the kit. Here is a pic of it dropped

hotchkis = 1.7 front and 1.97 rear

the toyota service center people will try to charge you 800 bucks for a spring install, at least thats what i was told by my "certified technicians" should be called "certified thieves"

it wont even be that much lower with trd, they are not worth the money, just for an inch.

i went with H techs and 18s and i love it! no scraping or rubbing and the roads are ____tay here!

Yeah, even with a lip kit, you should be able to install whatever springs you have. Mine is dropped on S-tech and I could still go an inch or so lower. The lip doesn't effect it that much.

From taking my bumper off to install a Injen CAI, I've inspected the kenstyle kit on my rs3 and the lip kit really just overlaps the regular bumper. I took out the black cover for the bottom bumper to get a lil ram air effect, although im sure it doesn't do much. Anyways just stating that u shouldn't scrape unless you have like a 2 inch drop or more with bad potholes.
