Default To those who have Hotchkis Sways...

Just got the Hotchkis sways in today from Mcgeorges and man do they look good. So far I have installed the rear and set them on the stiffest setting which Im presuming is the race setting. But when I go to tighten the nut on the link, the bolt is not protruding out of the nut. I got several turns out of it and tightened the nut as far as it could go, but it worrys me a lil bit. Do you guys have the same problem with this setting? But yeah, waiting til next week to install the front sway at my friends shop...the ride does feel better especially in turns.

In all honesty, only one tread is in theory enough, the rest are a factor of safety. Of another rule of thumb is hald of the diamter of the bolt and that is the length of theard for 100% safety.

Its and engineering thing !!

Mine are going on the 18th, front and rear along with Gold Line coils !!

Aircraft are required to show three threads past the fastener. One thread is NOT enough, and the fastener may not hold rated torque if you do not have full thread contact through the entire fastener.

i remember being worried about the same thing. it looks a bit bad that the nut doesnt go on far because the bar is at an angle, but, no problems so far. been installed for quite a few months now!

i've had two problems since... rear driver side end link broke, replaced.. last night bolt came lose on the new end link.. just tightened it up, drove it last night and this morning, everything seems to be fine.. hopefully it stays on.. verdict: hotchkis needs to come out with new endlinks! the bar is too thick for the stock. on the bright side, i just have the rear installed for now with tein s techs.. i like the response but the springs need to go.. ssp's soon to come..

Where can I purchase new endlinks?

Does anyone make any aftermarket endlinks which are more sturdier than the stock ones?
