Yea, your right except it might not be called the tie rod, it could be called differently. Just make sure it says its used to adjust the rear toe.....its funny i align cars all day and i always forget what the rear was called.......but all in all your right thats the part you need.......good luck

Have you ordered it yet? We can get OEM parts as well being that we are actually a Toyota Dealership. Just another option if your interested.

Can anyone confirm for sure whether the part i need is called the inner tie rod or is it the outer tie rod? I need to replace the rod the op highlighted but im unsure exactly what to order online.

and for those that want to know what i did. Well i backed into a curb and my HKS exhaust pushed backwards and broke it...need a new exhaust too

the part that is broken is called the "lower control arm- track bar" it's really not the control arm but a rear-tie rod. But if you look at trdsparks.com ken & his group call it a track bar. here's the link

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

you'll also need the castle nut, cotter pin, and main bolt for the trackbar/tie-rod. Those parts are not shown on trdsparks website, just give them a call, they'll get them for ya.

thanks I will order it from them. And yes the rust is from driving on s-techs through 5 east coast winters.I wash my car often in the winter too. It sucks..

Three years in what state? If it's the north east I don't see how you'd have no rust in 3 years with the amount of snow we get.

hey you're welcome for the info on the parts.

yeah midwest driving is the same, can't really stop it. Might get under the car in the winter and spray wash the underbody to remove salt from it. I do that every winter it's slowed the rust down a lot on the cars i've had.
We're all the victims of this salt they use. I sometimes think they use way too much, then wonder why the roads are crumbling. Duh..
